Push in Soffit Vent - 1139, 1140, 1141 and 1142

Mainly used in refurbishment, push-in soffit vents (primary roof vents); provide a convenient method of providing ventilation through an existing soffit board.

Barbed ridges on the sides of each vent grip the soffit board and hold them securely in place.

Each ventilator provides 2000mm² of free airflow and should therefore be positioned at 200mm centres in order to achieve the equivalent of a continuous 10mm opening.

Available in anthracite grey (1139), white (1140), black (1141) and brown (1142).

Technical Information

  • Primary roof ventilators
  • Provide a free airflow of 2000mm² per unit
  • Should be spaced at 200mm centres to achieve ventilation equivalent to a continuous 10mm opening

How to Order

  • Specify the colour required (anthracite grey, white, brown or black)
  • Measure the overall length of the eaves to be ventilated and divide by 200mm to determine the number of ventilators required

Installation Advice

  • The push in soffit ventilators are fitted to 70mm diameter circular holes, cut into the soffit board
  • These holes should be drilled at 200mm centres in order to provide airflow equivalent to a continuous 10mm opening
  • The push in ventilators are not ideally suited in situations where an airflow equivalent to a continuous 25mm opening is required
  • It is very important that the holes are cut accurately and are not oversized; otherwise, the ventilators will not grip firmly in the fixing holes
  • It is strongly recommended that a good quality and accurate hole saw is used
