Building a brighter future at Timloc House
Timloc Building Products has reached a significant milestone in its long-term growth plans, by officially moving into its new facility Timloc House, on Howden’s Ozone Business Park.
After a period of transition, the entire Timloc team is now fully operational at the 90,000sq ft site.
The relocation from Rawcliffe Road, Goole, is a key part of Timloc’s growth strategy and will enable the business to become more efficient, expand and further strengthen its reputation as a leading UK manufacturer of building products.
Michael Leaf, Divisional Managing Director at Timloc, explains:
“Timloc’s previous base was across two sites. We had the manufacturing operations on one site, and warehousing on the other, which wasn’t practical or efficient. We’d also doubled turnover in five years, so wanted the space to increase manufacturing capacity to meet demand and further grow the business. A modern, purpose-built facility was the solution and Ozone Park was the ideal location.
“A critical part of the new premises was the development of a larger warehousing facility, to support our industry-leading next-day delivery service. Location also played a role. Our new site is less than a mile from Junction 37 of the M62, so we have great access to road networks. We have an excellent reputation for our delivery service, so strengthening this area was a priority.”
Investment in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment has also been high on Timloc’s agenda. It will enable the company to keep pace with increasing demand for its products and expand into new areas.
“We’ll be introducing new products to our roofline range by the end of 2018, thanks to our investment in new machinery in the factory. Expanding our product range will give our customers more choice and the option to buy a wider range of products from Timloc. We’ll be revealing more details on the new products in the coming months.”
